This type of vehicle might be armored for hand guns only. A Brinks armored truck that could be picking up gold bullion or large amounts of cash will be heavily armored to Level IV or B7 which is the highest protection available which will protect against hand grenades, armor-piercing bullets, and I.E.D.'s.
